by saying that a transfer to Spanish Club Real Madrid was possible. This statement by the Portugal has Sir Alex Ferguson, coach of Machester United, fuming as he is keen on keeping his star player in England. And to add salt to injury, Ronaldo has got 4 more years left on his contract.
Ronaldo has fanned the flames by saying out that he didn't care if anybody was getting affected by his stance on the whole affair. He said, "I don't mind if people get upset. It's my decision. It's what I want." It is also come to light, that both of them have not spoken to each other for several weeks.
The entire affair comes in the wake of Manchester United having complained to FIFA about the illegal way in which Real Madrid are trying to rope in Ronaldo. Manchester United were adamant in saying that Ronaldo was simply not for sale.
But, things are looking very dull for ManU, with Ronaldo keen on a transfer to Real Madrid. Things remain to be seen as to who wins the mind games and possibly the possession of one of the finest strikers of the curent batch of players. If the transfer to Real Madrid does take place it would be a world-record transfer with Ronaldo already earning a whooping £70-million.
