Agassi admits taking drugs
The ATP did not take any action against Andrea Agassi even knowing that
he took meth, a highly addictive amphetamine that he narrated as an accidental intake. The ATP trusted Agassi with his words, but what about the benefit he got in games due to this intake. Twelve years passed after he took the drug knowingly, but lied because of the fear of getting ban order, which to his admirers would be a shock.
The International Tennis Federation’s president Ricci Betti is astonished and disappointed with the confession of Agassi now, which is absolutely right. Had Agassi not retired from the world tennis now, he would have faced punishment for drug consumption. He certainly had taken the benefit, whatsoever, in 1997 through his invented story in front of the ATP body.
The 39 years old player now has come out with the truth that too telling the media that he is not worried about his fans to know this.
Married to Steffi Graf, the German great of tennis, Agassi left the world tennis scene in 2006.. Altogether, he won eight grand slams in his career spanning almost 25 years. on and off he was out of the playing due to injuries, but he was known in the circuit as a gentle, reasonable, and emotional player.
How his follower would take his negative confession is a matter to be seen.
