BBC Radio 3
broadcast this evening from the Albert Hall in London an amazing rendition of
Beethovan's 9th Symphony ...
The Ode to Joy which was spectacular and well presented by
the BBC Radio 3 Team.
The excitement of the performance was well communicated and the odd word poetic was included in this
broadcast I was tuned into from 6 to 9.30 pm.
The building up of the climax in this music always brings everyone to their feet eommented the presenter and it reminds me of the European Link that I too share with Munich ... European-poetry.eu
Beethovan was writing this symphony nearly 200 years ago during his career ... and he was suffering from deafness at this time he was writing it ... I see the joy in music is still alive and transferred into a modern context .... a wonderful prospect ... listening to this great music ... and what an enjoyable way to spend the weekend in tune with BBC Proms .. Beethovan's 9th Symphony .. Ode to Joy .. thanks BBC Radio 3 Proms .... review the musical productions is a new venture but a worthwhile activity!
