Yesterday I heard from the owner of the Internet Cafe at Bargate Centre in Southampton that the Internet Cafe is to close and all the computers are for sale and most of them have been sold. The Internet Cafe has been a great favourite here in Southampton and has provided a community for the University Lecturers and students resident here in Southampton and also a drop in facility for the odd Frenchman or Visitor to Southampton plus I have met many TEFL students from Europe who greatly welcomed the Internet Cafe just around the corner from their centre for the summer. I have over the last 5 to 6 years called in myself and I write my books online at the Internet Cafe but the reasons given for its closure are concerned with the run of bad weather we have had recently which has prevented myself the writer and other regular users of the Internet Cafe at Bargate Center Southampton from accessing the Internet. The very cold weather seemed to last longer than usual and there were very few users of the Internet turning up but when the weather did improve I made a concerted effort to turn up such as yesterday when I joyfully received another book offer from US Publishers Publishamerica and so had to write my work online and have it emailed before the closure of Bargate Centre . and the very helpful owner of the Internet Cafe Paul Phillips. Happy Days spent writing online at the Internet Cafe at Bargate Centre in Southampton and thanks to Paul Phillips for the memories ... life goes on step by step! Hard work pays UP!
