All this talk about hacking did not deter me from gettng my free phone as an offer with a Top Up at my
local T Mobile shop and needless to say I am delighted with my new mobile phone so I will have time
to spend over the Christmas holiday period getting it working as a result of my writing work.
But I do touch down with Paul McCartney as he seems to have all the balls in the air at once and moves
on the one hand from happiness in connection with his third marriage recently to a distress call about
phone hacking and Paul McCartney seems to constantly make headlines which have been mixed
in terms of good and bad news but then I suppose Paul McCartney must take the rough with the
smooth just like the rest of us.
Recently I received an email from our local Catholic Church to say at last I have had some good news
to share which is the occasion of my visit to Denmark in New Year to stay with the Family as I have
been driving a hard bargain with work and the legal outcome to me is Victory for the writer as I can
now ask for royalties for my work so the pressure was on to start teaching all over again but I was
reminded that it applies only to my writing and a Turkish Novelist wrote requesting I translate a few
pages of his novel but he said he was unable to work out the cost as it was neither a poem nor a
play so I added that I am talking specifically to my own writing and not The Turkish Novelist's writing
so he added the only solution he could find was that he would do it himself and I added that was a great
idea as I too am involved in a Do It Yourself job so I hope that is the clarification needed this side of the
Festive Season of Christmas and New Year: And now to my new mobile phone ............. poetry pays
