Petrobra''s announced in this Wednesday (26) that it surpassed in terça the proper
daily record of
production of oil in Brazil, reaching 2 million and 238 barrels. The mark, according to company, is resulted of the entrance in operation of six new
platforms of extration in 2007. The previous record was reached in
day 23 of October of 2006, with 1,912 million of barrels.
The six new platforms will add, when to reach the production peak, 590 a
thousand daily
barrels of oil to the
capacity installed (maximum capacity of extration for which the units had been projected) in the national fields.
The P-54 platform, that started to operate in day 11 of this month in the field of Hogfish, in the Basin De Campos (RIO DE JANEIRO), was the last one of the six units to enter in operation this year. When to reach the peak of production, foreseen to happen in as the semester of 2008, the platform will add 180 a thousand barrels per day to the national production.
Petrobra''s extracts 80 more than _ of its production De Campos maritime and the production in land is of 230 a thousand daily barrels, according to information of the Brazil Agency. The announcement of the new record of production was fact, in the River, for the director of Exploration and Production of Petrobra''s, Guillermo Estrella, and for the president of the company, Jose Sergio Gabrielli.
Tupi
In the occasion, Estrella advanced that the first tests of production of the giant field of Tupi, in the Basin of Saints, in São Paulo, starts in the end of the next year, with daily production estimate in 80 a thousand barrels.
For 2008, the launching of more four platforms, being three of oil is foreseen, in the Basin De Campos, and one of gas, in the Espirito Santo. In the Basin De Campos, they will enter in production the P-51, with capacity to produce 180 a thousand barrels for day, the P-53, with equal capacity of production, and the FPSO City of Niterói, that will produce 100 a thousand barrels per day.
