Everyone at some time or another has heard of ebay, but do you really know what ebay is all about. For those of you who don't let me provide you with some top tips and advice.
Ebay is ranked as the number 1 internet auction site where you can buy and sell almost everything imaginable, categories range from books to cars, computers to health and beauty, basically anything you can think of will probably be listed. To buy or sell on ebay you must firstly register, this is a very easy process and is FREE. Once registered you may bid on items.
Remember if you bid on an item and win you are committed to buying. A few tips to help you out before you bid on an item.
1. Check the shipping charges, some items are selling for nearly nothing especially the likes of laptops and computers and you will think you are getting a great deal, however, when you read carefully the item discription always check the shipping charges as this is sometimes where the seller makes their money. You shipping charges can sometimes be over ten times the amount of the item you are purchasing.
2. Check the feedback of the seller. With some many new sellers cropping up on ebay each week it is best to check their feedback before bidding on an item. If the seller has no feedback I am usually very skeptical about purchasing goods from them. You never know when you might be ripped off.
3. Never send cash as a payment. Look for sellers who accept paypal or cheques then at least you might have some come back.
If you follow the above tips you are sure to get great bargains on ebay and remember always be true to your word. If you bid on an item and win it, make sure you pay. Another top piece of advice is not to leave feedback for the seller until you receive your goods, also try to get the seller to give you feedback also. Feedback is extremely important on ebay as it allows you to guage how reliable a seller is.
All that is left now if for you to log in, register and start bidding.
