GoodPlanet is a non-profit organization created and chaired by YAB, whose aim is to heighten public awareness of our world’s issues and promote sustainable development
Yann Arthus Bertrand‘s goal
Yann Arthus-Bertrand has been flying over a hundred countries for more than 15 years. His aerial photographs, completed by educational captions, invite us all to think about the Earth’s evolution and the future of its inhabitants. Over the past 50 years, mankind has modified the planet quicker and more extensively than in any comparable period of time in human history. Forests, oceans, and wetlands among other ecosystems, suffer the consequences of constant anthropic pressure. At this critical stage, the alternative offered by a sustainable development policy should help bringing about the necessary changes in order to « meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. » Each and every one of us can and must act and contribute to the future of both mankind and the Earth starting now.
