iPhone credit requests due Nov. 30
NEW YORK, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- The fine print on Apple''s iPhone credit offer for U.S. customers requires activation using AT&T phone service and ends Nov. 30.
The company this week released the details of the rebate, which comes in the form of a $100 store credit for folks who purchased the cutting-edge cell phone before Aug. 22.
Macworld said claiming the credit can be done entirely on line. Once activated using AT&T, the phone will display a text message containing an access code. The code takes the user to a Web form that is filled out and redeemed.
The credit request, which cannot be used directly on the iTunes store but can be redeemed for an iTunes card, must be submitted by Nov. 30, 2007.
Apple offered the credit after it suddenly chopped the iPhone retail price by $200 in anticipation of the Christmas shopping season
