When there were lot of rumours going on about the Harry Potter books and what happens to The Boy Who Lived , J K Rowling's web site showed whether or not they are rumours. It is a very interactive web site displaying different news items related to Harry Potter books, rumours going around the harry potter fans, authors biography, extra details about the books and links to fans' sites.
J K Rowling memorize herself as a rotund baby applying the Philosopher's Stone's photographs of 'what appeared to be a beach ball wearing different coloured bobble hats' to pictures of her early days. She talks about the Potters whose surname she was very interested in, and how the scrawny, black-haired, bespectacled boy who didn't know he was a wizard came real in her thoughts.
The rumours going around the potter fans, for example, 'at the end of book seven, Harry and Voldemort were to 'merge' to form a single person...' J K Rowling describes how the rumours fit in to the books.
The news room announces to the fans the exact date the books are published and moon light readings. She pleads to the fans who have already read the book seven, to keep the plot as a secret for the ones who are looking forward to read it.
She describes how she made the potter fans pronounce Hermione's name correctly by instructing Victor Krum to say it properly in the Goblet of Fire. Also, she talks about a question never asked, when James was dying why Dumbledore had James' invisibility cloak even though Dumbledore could make himself invisible without a cloak.
The most interesting thing in her web site is to move to a different page you have to search for an item on the web site, when clicked, it closes the current window.
