Keeping yourself to yourself has its high
points and low points but when you decide to
share an idea with a friend its surprising how much you feel compromised by the situation.
The only way out of this is to co share a notion and I did precisely that many years ago when I visited New York USA in the 1980s and saw the sights and enjoyed the feel of the atmosphere the sense of a big bustling
city .... the cut and thrust of the US Taxi Service the quick
trip down to Harlem the black area of New York to dig the dirt with the rest of the girls .... to link with the late great Ella Fitzgerald''s song ... and sing along with the boys.
We took an apartment in 5th Avenue and dined on the
stuff of celebrities and the common man in New York, but the most memorable event was walking in Central Park because in such a big overcrowded City there is space there to walk around and feel the fresh air in your face .... I had some of Mom''s apple pie and Grandma''s Pancakes ... saw the Theatre in Broadway off Broadway ... went to Museums and generally have a wonderful shared memory of our collective visit to New York in the USA in the 1980s .... great stuff .. keep on blogging ... we are fans all of us of New York!!!
