Assisted Suicide apparently can be legally committed in Switzerland and another and another film wins awards on the much debated subject of assisted suicide. In Britain Assisted Suicide is illegal but the notion of people suffering great pain throughout some terminal illness according to the BBC and its broadcasts is discussed at regular intervals throughout the week.
Occasionally one will read that a prominent UK citizen has gone to Switzerland to commit assisted suicide and there is a great deal of condemnation about the morality of this clinic that conducts assisted suicide.
I suppose with the focus on long term illness and thus far incurable disease thus the reason so much attention of focused on euthanasia or assisted suicide ..but there is a lobby for the legalization of euthanasia in this country ...
