Pandora has a single mission: to help us discover new music we'll love. It's absolutely fresh idea in this area. Pandora's service is some kind of internet radio. On the other hand it's something completely defferent. Pandora gives us opportunities we could only dreamt about. As users we become creators of our own radio stations. Service is accessible in two versions: free version (then we agree for commercials) and payable commercials-free version (12 months of unlimited use for $36, 3 months of unlimited use for $12). For registration at Pandora we only need our e-mail adress. Than we can log in from every place in the world. How does Pandora work? Let's say that our favorite music artist is Mr. X (band, singer) and we would like to create radio station, which would be playing his music and others similar musicians. We choose an option "create a new station" and type an artist name (or the title of the song). Pandora may shows us many rusults of seeking in the system (Music Genome Project). After making a choice our first radio station at pandora has been created. We can edit our radio station: change the name, add other artists/songs, delete the station or send it to another Pandora's user. Furthermore, we may evaluate every song, which is playing at our stations. We choose an option "Guide us" and then: "I really like this song - play more like it!", "I don't like this song - it's not what this station should play", I'm tired of this song - don't play it for a month".
We may also ask "Why is this song playing" - Pandora will show us a short music analysis (kind of music, vocal, tonality and more). Moreover Pandora has an option of searching for other radio station using "Share" option. We may look for stations from our friends, then we type e-mail adress or choose from Top 20 most popular radio station in Pandora's community. We can listen almost all kind of music (excluding clasical music): rock, r'n'b, soul, jazz, trip-hop, rap, hip-hop, disco and more. Furthermore we may also listen holiday music. During last Christmas I created great jazz holiday radio station with Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Louis Armstrong and more. We can create ultimately 100 radio stations. In the same time we may buy cd's with music in partnership service Amazon or iTunes.Pandora was created and finally ready to use last year. But all we have today is the effect of 30 musicians team's work for almost 6 years.
