Facebook and Twitter in Arab Revolution.

For many years Arab nations have been led by autocratic regimes with no regard to democracy and human rights. With most newspapers being state owned and opposition not allowed to exist has left many people in the Arab world with on alternative voice. However the internet has transformed in ways that no dictator in the Arab world could have ever imagined. Facebook and Twitter  are offering platform for people to discuss alternative views.Facebook and Twitter have been very important in coordinating popular uprisings which have spread in  the Arab world. Most of the regimes had managed to control the main stream media but not the internet. Independent bloggers have also continued to express views that most newspapers feel afraid to print. Most repressive regimes always want to hide the truth,if they are any state killings they don't want the world to know about it. In Tunsia images of state violence against demonstrators shared on facebook acted as a catalyst in popular uprisings.
