The strength of small businesses
Sebrae, made a valuable survey, and noted that data from the General Register of Employed and
Unemployed (CAGED), the Ministry of Labour, out of ten vacancies in the first nine months of 2011, seven are in the segment of small businesses. In total, they have hired 1.3 million workers since January 2011. The Government has taken some small steps to simplify tax procedures and some tributaries, through the National Law Simple, yet we are ''dabbling'' in this area when compared with our tax laws of foreign countries. If we compare the labor laws, then, is depressing. Our CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws) emerged in 1943 and since then, all we did was worsen it further. With 922 articles is considered one of the most complex in the world. I know that we must protect labor rights acquired, but we must also consider that CLT was created in a totally different time and did not follow the changes that occurred in the world during that time. Brazil needs of small businesses, this is already more than proved by the volume of jobs created and the multiplier effect that these jobs generate Economiainterna in, freeing us from the terrible effects of the global economic crisis. Our legislators have an obligation to find alternatives for simpler and more flexible work rules for small businesses, because we need to further increase Ofertade jobs. The problem is that this subject is still taboo and no one dares to speak out on changes in labor fearing possible reprisal from voters. The worker himself, was duly informed and consulted approve changes that would encourage the maintenance and, especially, the creation of new jobs. Overcoming obstacles of bureaucracy and high labor costs, small businesses can generate more jobs than large organizations, let alone if they had a really differentiated treatment in the labor area.
