It is a common knowledge of perhaps the world that Indonesia is one of the countries with the most Twitter-users all around the world, supported by the hustling and bustling of the twitter world all day long in mostly, the youngsters. Helped by the existence of Blackberry smart phones aiding almost every upper middle class individuals, the availability of Twitter becomes unbeatable. Supported by Blackberry apps such as UberSocial or Twitter for Blackberry, the Twitter mania can pour their hearts and souls out in less than 140 characters every day and every time they want. Twitter is now also common for business platforms, proven with the sign of Twitter account names in banners or billboards of a hip restaurant or even shopping place.
Quoting one of the sentence that Raditya Dika - a young and very famous Indonesian novel-writer - had put in his novel that the society seems to be replacing the role of "first dates" into twitter, as people can conclude the personality and habits of their possible mates. It is further elaborated that even if the person him/herself is really nice in reality, a person can immediately lost interest after seeing their "rude" tweets. Therefore I think that Twitter nowadays is a must-have social media especially for Indonesian youth, as it is a platform to know a person better as well as finding potential "future lover".
