EBay, what’s it all about?
This has to be the biggest question asked by so many people over the last few years, and so I will tell you. eBay.com or eBay.co.uk is an online auction site. This basically means that you bid on an item by inputting the most you wish to pay for this item. An item being anything, and I mean anything! Book, games and 800 foot battleships have all been sold on eBay. You can simply take part by purchasing other peoples things or you opt for the more in-depth version, selling. Selling involves writing a description of your item, putting in all the vitals such as starting price and postage costs and loading pictures. Then you simply watch your item as people view it, and with luck, bid on it allowing you to make money on the things you no longer want. eBay is now a worldwide organisation with sites running in nearly every country; however there are problems, eBay has been a utopia for people selling illegal or stolen goods or trying to make money from scams such as get rich quick schemes! However don’t let this sway you, eBay are, and hopefully will be for a long time, a fantastic site that allows the whole world to trade and purchase second hand goods from one another.
People have become millionaires on eBay, simply from finding items that have been put in the wrong area of eBay, getting them for a fraction of the price and then selling them on for much much more. But don’t expect to become a millionaire simply by joining eBay and buying the odd item, to succeed on eBay takes skill, experience and hard work. Anyone who is thinking it will make them rich easily; do not join, because you will simply be disappointed.
Enjoy eBay and i hope to see you on there soon!
