AbstractIn recent years, the US Middle East policies have met with successive
frustrations.The Arab public's anti
US and anti Israeli sentiments have been running high, the
influence of the Islamic radical force has grown, and the Arab
countries have tried to strengthen
coordination among themselves and improve their relations with Iran.In the crisis of

common interest and factors of cohesion.Amidst the new intense and turbulent situation, the
Arab countries will continue to undertake the tortuitous and difficult process of policy adjustment
and improving their inter relations.Following the construction of a new alliance both with Israel
and Turkey directed against the Arab and Islam countries, and perceiving the trend among the
Arab and Islam countries to form new counter balance forces, the US took in 1998 two major
strategic moves of facilitating a new Palestine Israel peace accord and rendering military
strikes against Iraq,in an attempt to split and weaken the Arabs, but in the long run these moves
will impel the Arab and Islam countries to strengthen their counter balance forces. The regional
multipolarization is developing in the Middle East, and the US policy of maintaining its
dominance in the region is bound to deepen its contradictions with the Arab and Islam
countries, thus the US dominant position will continue to be weakened and face challenges
