OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of induction supplemented with isoflurane on
bispectral index and hemodynamics. METHODS
Forty-five adult patients under general anesthesia were enrolled in this study. The patients were randomly divided into three groups: Group A, Group B and Group C according to the Concentration of isoflurane 0.5% , 1.0% , 1.5% respectively. Midazolam 0.2 mg·kg -1 ,innovar 1u and vecuronium 0.1 mg·kg -1 were administered to induction, and
endotracheal intubation was performed until isoflurane maintained the Stable Concentration duing induction. BIS、MAP、HR were monitored continuously for the three groups. RESULTS All
bispectral index were lower after induction than that preinduction. The change of MAP was singnificant after intubation in Group A.The MAP was lower after induction than that preinduction in Group C.CONCLUSION Bispectral index can not be used as an effective indicator to evaluate cardiovascular effects for endotracheal intubation during combination induction. Combination with 1.0% isoflurane during indution is ideal.
