Sino African Relations at the Turn of the Century

Article Abstract by: TsingHua

Original Author: INTERNATIONAL STUDIES
This abstract was translated from 世纪之交话中非关系
For the past fifty years, despite constant change of international situation, the relations between China and Africa have
been developing smoothly with full vigor. Sino African relations have been equal ones with mutual benefit, sincere cordiality, mutual support and comprehensive cooperation. To support the liberation and development of African countries is the striking feature in China's Africa policy. China's Africa policy embodies its justice, consistent support and selfless assistance. It essentially differs from Western countries' policy towards Africa. In the meantime, China has enjoyed strong support from African countries and people. During the new century, Sino African relations will face new challenges, but China and African countries share common ground in many fields and these common points of view will serve as the new basis of future Sino African relations. Only if we make greater efforts to develop the relations wih Africa, the relations will certainly be full of vitality with long term stability and comprehensive cooperation in the new century.
