This is the continuation of "Weakness of Singapore part 1".

Let's address
the facts. MRT trains travel at a certain speed for the good reasons as stated. What is also a fact is that yours is the first feedback I have received on slow MRT trains. You can rest assured that where there are good grounds for pursuing a matter based on client feedback, we will do so. Based on what we understand of the rationale for the speed of MRT trains and the relative absence of dissatisfaction with this aspect of MRT train service,we do not think the speed of MRT trains is a matter requiring urgent attention. Why didn't you answer any of my questions to the point? What kind of matter will be considered urgent to you?If speed is not important, should we lower the speed of cars on roads and express high ways to 5km/hr.This way, there will be no accidents and the
country will be very safe indeed. To me,speed is the most important aspect. If everyone wastes 10 minutes a day, thousands of people commute by train a day.Count it yourself how much time is wasted a year. You will see that it is an incredibly high number.Speed is the key to a country's economic and development success. If the speed is slow,it equates to throwing the country's money into fire.If speed is increased,Singapore might stand to chance to compete with other countries. But currently,Singapore does not stand a chance. Your answers suggest to me that the MRT is a failure and you seem to admit to me that you can't do anything to improve it.Is it true that the railway is not flat,if not why is the train shaking all the time? And are you telling me that if the speed is to increase, the train will overturn?
Are you telling me that the people have to endure the pain and suffering of the slow speed and the shaking of the MRT forever? After I sent this email,Goh Teck Seng did not reply.Perhaps he thinks it is a waste of time talking to me. From Public Transport Council

I refer to your email on 6 June 07. We wish to inform you that train services are regulated by the Land Transport Authority (LTA). As you have correctly addressed your feedback to the LTA, we will leave it to the LTA to follow-up on your feedback regarding the speed of MRT Thank you. If you still think Singapore is a nice place, think again. They do not care about the welfare of the people, they pretend nothing has happened. They pushe the problem to each other.SMRT increases fares whenever they wanted yet they did not improve the services.
