The Group Forward Time-theater completed in that Friday, August 03, 2007, 35 years of existence. After so many years of struggling for the Interior Baiano''s theatrical enlargement didn''t hope to pass such shame in the door of the theater that founded and it takes the name of one of their founders. It is unquestionable the cultural importance of the entity for the city. GAE-T, as it is known, it founded the House of the Culture and ACCORDE. Besides the Municipal Theater Carlos Jehovah to be a homage to one of their founders, the Teatro Wanderley Menezes, enclosure to the Center of Cultura Camilo of Jesus Lima, is also in honor to the main founder of the Group Forward Time-theater.
They are dozens of mounted long pieces, hundreds of short pieces for closing of courses. It expired six times the announcements of the Fundação Cultura of Bahia, it was the only Group of the Interior to participate in the National project “Campaign of Kombi”. In 1975, it won the I Festival of Theater of Bahia, promoted by the INACEN, with the piece “he/she Goes out”, of Ronald Radd, with Geldeni Gurcindo receiving
better actor''s prize. In 1979, Avanilton Carneiro won Better Actor''s prize, in the III Northeastern Festival of Theater, in Feira de Santana; In 1982, in the II Festival of Theater of Bahia, in Salvador, Célia Santos won Better Actress''s prize, Avanilton Carneiro, Hors Concour of Better Actor, Mauronildo Rocha, Better Actor, Jeane Lopes, Better Actress. These two last, in the modality Infantile Theater. In 1989, during to I it Shows Regional of Theater, in Vitória da Conquista, it won the prizes, with the piece: “The Beata Maria from Egypt”, of Rachel Queiróz, Better Actor (Avanilton Carneiro), Better Actress (Célia Santos), Better Scenery (Edmilson Santana). Nothing of that was worth for the director of the Municipal Theater Carlos Jehovah, Juarez. He preferred to assist to the supporting of the mayor and employees of the city hall that requested the space, vocally, on Wednesday, August 1, and the Group Forward Time-theater had already signed the line request there is almost one month.
