The former President Joseph "Erap" Estrada was judged guilty beyond reasonable doubt last September 12, 2007 for his plunder
case by
Sandiganbayan (court of law). Some people say that former
president Erap was not the only one who sentenced by the court but with his co-accused. Someone people asks if it is fair, Who is the master of the game? In Philippine
government, there are a lot of corrupt officials. But they are not sentenced nor punished by the court of law. From the higher rank officials down to the lower officials, corruption in the Philippine government system is rampant. How sad, isn''t it? But this is how some Filipino live and feed their family''s mouth and maybe a true culture.
Some politicians or government officials are dissembling a true hero or speckless but they are only concealing the real truth. There are so many people who cogitate Erap Estrada as corrupt, stealing of million of dollars from government funds, abuse of his power and ignoramus president. The point to ponder here is the people are au fond judgmental, they are easily judging of fault of others but they haven''t realized that they have mistakes to be judged. Everyone has the right to judged but he looks first at himself if he is clean-living.
Philippine law should be fair to anyone. If someone did against the law, he should answers all the consequences of what he did. Former President Erap Estrada sentenced to life imprisonment, that''s how the Philippine law serves the people but what it did do to other corrupt government officials? They are still savoring the wealth from government funds and still perverting the power which people of the Philippines throned to them. Filipino people are happy to see these people are in behind bars and forfeiting million of peso or dollars from them. Not only one person who answers this wrong doing but all of them who basking the wealth from funds of Filipinos.
Corruption will not be ceased in any government but how the law of enforcement chase those venal government officials and penalize by the court of law. There should have no questions on the integrity of judiciary system in the Philippines but they are making it. There are so many eyes staring on what they did but they not aware of it. It seemingly they are robot managed by one person on what to do. Now, who is the master of the game?
