Indian Presidential Electoral Drama

This is for the first time; and will not be repeated
again.  The India people are amused by the political parties competing tightly with other to clinch the most superior post of President.  On the verge of winning the election, the UPA candidate Pratibha Patil will be remembered not only for the first women President but also for the whole issue.  In this mathematics of presidential election, the present President Dr. A.P.J. Abul Kalam is also degraded.  He was labeled as greedy for presidential post; this criticism was made by those who earlier voted strongly for him for the award of “Bharat Rant”.  Currently, in this drama each and every tricks are being put forward, which include the public disclosure of the wealth.  According to this, the NDA candidate and vice president Mr. Bhairosingh Shekhavat possesses a property of just Rs. 26 lakhs; on the other hand, Mrs. Pratibha Patil is a possessor of crores.  She has been accused for the various issues, but she is quietly finding her ways ahead.  There is no role for the public to perform in the presidential election; only the ruling and the opposition parties make a decision.  Before the emergence of Mrs. Pratibha Patil, there were many other names in the run for the presidential election.  On the last moment, the game was changed with a UPA''s consensus on a very unfamiliar name.  Mrs. Pratibha Patil may win the election, but the public will not forget President Kalam whose desire for winning again was crushed badly.  Even with the truth that there is no comparison for his popularity, his name was refused on the ground that in the independent India, except for the first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, no one else regained the second term.  It would be noteworthy to think whether it is good to disregard a genius like Kalam just for the sake of that age-old belief.  Very soon, there will be an electoral finish, a new president will be selected, but Indian public will ever remember the former president, president Kalam.
