Clinton is working on a peace plan for the Middle East. How many good meaning
leaders and
former learders like Jimmy Carter will it take? What is the casuality list going to have to grow before all factions involved realize killing of innocent people is not the answer? Despite every possible effort it appears the rulers and people of the Middle East region can not get along. The big question is why?
For a few decades now it appears rulers from outside the area try to believe they have all the answers for the problems of the Middle East. Whether it be Palestein or Israel, or Jerusalem they each have their own beliefs to live by. Each believes they are correct in the way they do things. How can anyone outside that region qualified to determine anything else?
It can not be denied there are many poltical reasons for the United States and other nations for concern. Aside from it geographical advantage, its abundant resources make it appealing to several countries around the world. But are we still interested in the welfare of the people living there? Is the Gaza strip another ploy for interfering with their choices? Is the primary focus political or humanitarian?
The talks will continue and so will the disputes over a piece of land or a few dollar. More people will suffer or die. Politics will substitute for human rights. Religion will be used as a cause to maim or kill. Terrorists from the region will claim the Western World is corrupting the ways of the Middle East. Any excuse will be given as reeasons for waging battles against their neighbor.
Maybe someday world
leaders will realize maybe their way is the right way. Let's pray it happens sooner than later.
