Home said 15 days, but CM Sheila Dixit gave Manu 30
The powers of the politicians must be curbed, as those are used more often maliciously than for good. One politician is facilitating another because both are in the same league that is the wrong side of democracy.
Through RTI the information that is available now clearly state that both the Home department and the Chief Minister of Delhi wanted to help the murder convict Manu Sharma, the son of Venod Sharma, who is a powerful and moneyed politician of the state Haryana. The CM Sheila Dixit instead of questioning the home department on the parole recommendation of 15 days to Manu Sharma, the murderer, extended the period of parole to double the time to 30 days. What an example of abusing the power by Sheila Dixit, the chief minister of Delhi, which cannot be excused. She clearly violated the rules of the country, and must be accountable for appropriate reprimand.
Now the CM is denying the extension she has given. That means the RTI information is wrong. What is happening in this country? From the RTI enquiry, it is understood that G L Meena the additional secretary in the home department sent the parole file of Manu Sharma to the CM with a recommendation of 15 days of parole. The file came out of the CM’s room with her approval with 30 days of parole. If CM’s contention is right that she did not extend the parole period, as she said now to the journalists, then it would be appropriate to think that Meena is telling wrong. Moreover, the Dixit did accept the fact that she signed the paper, which makes it more suspicious that she signed the paper without reading it. What a fantastic leader we have, who is controlling the state of Delhi?
Would the system take serious note of this and make an enquiry on the truth of the matter?
Just for recollection for the readers, Manu Sharma flayed the rules of the parole and enjoying his time with booze in a posh outlet in Delhi.
