Briton hid stillborn babies in wardrobe for 25 years
Unbelievable yet true is the story of 55 years old Bernadette Quirk, a citizen of Britain. For long 25 years she secretly kept three stillborn babies in her wardrobe. How she managed to continue life is not fathomable. Quirk belongs to St. Helens, Merseyside, who confessed of hiding the babies in the wardrobe after wrapping in rags and newspapers then placing them in a small bin along with an air freshener to the Liverpool Crown Court. According to the Sun, there was a twin in the lot. She disclosed to police those four girls that she delivered at her residence between 1985 and 1995 were kept out of sight in her wardrobe. The lady was devastated and started drinking excessively after her marriage came to an end. The matter came to fore when her daughter Joanne Lee spotted the babies in the wardrobe in the month of June earlier. The barrister Ian Morris, who is defending Quirk, informed the court that she cannot remember correctly the birth timings of the babies; what she remembers is three babies were born. From the talking of the police official Neil Bickley it seems that she was leading a confused life style in the late 80’s, when she indulged in sex with many partners. She also changed her residence frequently in that period and carried those babies along with her in the new residence.
Nothing about conclusion of the case is mentioned in the news report, but it is sure she must be repenting her guilt after confessing her wrong doing in the court.
