58-yr-old held for attempt to rape
Is there any difference between the literate and illiterate class in the society in regards to crime like rape? News after news of rape cases are splashed in the news media, where highly literate people are accused of raping children, students, and now the daughter-in-law. How a principal can think of committing a crime like this that not only has serious repercussions, it also ruins the life of the sinners totally. Are these people have lost their mind over sanctity of life?
In this case of rape attempt, the 58 years old Principal Ranveer Singh tried to target his daughter-in-law, who was staying with the father-in-law minus her husband, the son of the principal. According to her, the husband Sanjeet is living with another woman elsewhere. Sanjeet informed his newlywed wife on the first day of marriage about his affair with another woman. He also told her wife that he married her because of parent pressure. That was two and a half years ago. Why the wife accepted this argument of Sanjeet and continued staying with the in-laws is another question.
Sudha (name changed), the alleged 26 years old victim of her father-in-law, is a lecturer in a college in Paschim Vihar, Delhi. She narrated to the police that her father-in-law entered her room behind her, when she entered the room after taking bath. He without any communication held her hand and tried to molest her sexually, which she thwarted by kicking him with her right knee on the stomach and went into the bathroom and locked the door from inside. Then she contacted the police for help that must be by her cell phone.
The incident happened in the Kanjhawala area in the outskirt of Delhi. The Principal has been arrested by the police on the complaint of his daughter-in-law.
