The life of Patrick saved by maintenance worker who was clearing the rubbish from the garbage chute. His strength to hold on to life shown by his determination to live after such horrific treatment. Starved to near death, each bone protuding from his frail body, and then thrown down the garbage chute to be left to his fate, crushed by the garbage compactor. He was found by the movement of the bag. He is now receiving his treatment and slowly gaining his health and confidence back. His abuser is being charged with an indictable offense of torment and torture an upgrade from the charge of disorderly persons offenses.
