International Law is nothing but a body of  Rules. These rules are acknowledged and accepted by various Nations/countries. International law is applicable to  various Nations/countries, in their relation between one another.    

There are various Organisations that are established which are engaged in promoting governance under International Law. They operate in fields like  General  governance, Law of the land, Agreements/Treaties singed between countries, Security & Threat for nations; Defence, Economic growth, Trade ties etc. 

this particular artilce, we will look into the functions of some of those international organisations.

We can broadly classify the organisations under the following two categories.  1.  Law and Justice 

    2.  commerce/economy. 

In this article, we will study the organisations that come under "Commerce/economy. 

A.   ICC   (International chamber of commerce)  : 

Main objective of ICC (Intenational Chamber of Commerce) is to promote economic growth in Nations. Only when economy grows, opportunites in business and employment are created for the people of the nation. In the present world scenerio, nations are inter-dependent upon one another. This is so, in the areas of commerce, industry etc.  A recession in economic growth in a particular part of the world, would affect the other parts of world.  So, monitoring is required to ensure that growth in economy is in the right track and also uniform.

B. World Bank

Mission of World bank is to ensure that developing countries in the world are not let out and are also brought to the main stream of  economic development. Many countries in the world may lag behind due to various factors; world bank provides financial assistance to developing countries thus promoting various projects involved in developmental activities. There are 185 member countries under World bank.

C. IMF  (International Monetary fund)

Objective of IMF is to provide favourable conditions in international Trade. It facilitates Trade between countries; Production in home is taken to global market, benefiting both the nations involved.   This inturn leads to growth in industry; growth in employment generation. 

Poverty eradication is thus achieved.
