In April, 2008 a raid on Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints sect living in Texas, brought to fore
unusual practices, including
polygamy, being practiced by this sect. Following the raid, 400
children from this group were taken into protective custody of the state. On Monday, May 2, 2008, the lawyers ot the sect managed to get a reprieve on one count. Parents from this sect are now allowed to take back their children, subject to certain conditions.
