Pandher, Koli get death; Nithari celebrates

Unbelievable yet true, businessman Moninder Singh
Pandher and his domestic servant Surendra Koli together lured 19 children and young women to the house of Pandherat Nithari in Noida, raped them, killed them, and even ate some of their flesh. Inhuman is probably not the apt word for these dreadful acts. All the victims are residents of the Nithari.
Children were missing, and would not have been found, as happen now and then in India, had a skull not been found in a canal behind pandher’s house at Nithari. On search many more skulls, and bones were recovered, finally investigation started by the C.B.I., and easily reached the destination of culprits.
As always happen, the rich, the powerful influence the investigation agencies, the same thing happened in this case too; the CBI gave clean chit to Pandher after initial investigations. The sensational discoveries of skull and bones occurred in 2006, cases were filed, and after a long tiring trials special CBI court, the verdict has come from judge Rama Jain yesterday (13th Feb ’09) indicting both Pandher and Koli guilty of gruesome murders, awarding death penalty. The detail award to the both accused comprised of capital punishment and Rs.50,000 fine for murder; life imprisonment and Rs.20,000 for kidnapping; seven years in jail and Rs.20,000 each for sexual assault.
According to lawyer Khalid Khan, who fought for the victims, 16 cases altogether have been filed out of 19 abduction, rape, and murder, and Koli has been charged in all 16 cases, where as Pandher in 6 cases.
Pandher aged 55 years, is a businessman of earth moving machine supplier, Koli is a resident servant of Pandher.
Khalid Khan described the murder of one victim Rimpa Halder, who was abducted, raped, strangled, and then cut the body with two kitchen knives, and an axe into several pieces. Koli is a Necrophilia, meaning a person having urge to have sex with a dead body, Khan informed. CBI that filed the charge sheets in the year 2007, absolved Pandher from abduction, rape and murder. Now that the verdict has been declared, the CBI is in a mess to overcome their initial decision on Pandher.
At the time of the pronouncement of verdict, Pandher’s alienated wife Devinder Kaur and son Karandeep were inside the court room. Both could not digest the verdict and replied to the question of media that they will appeal to the higher court against the verdict. Son Karandeep was visually angry on the media, the system, and the victim’s lawyer. "I can't let my dad die," Karandeep told IANS, a news agency.
