Taliban may take over Karachi: Police report The tentacles of Taliban have started finding its places
in the urban areas of Pakistan that is the report from Pakistani police. The news cannot be ignored, and it is the same trend as that of
Afghanistan, the country came under its rule and continued mayhem of terror all over the world.
They were driven out of that country by the allied forces led by US finally. The mistake democratic governments on the earth made to allow Taliban settle in Afghanistan, is again is repeated in Pakistan. As it is Pakistan has shown its inability to tackle terrorism that is breeding in its soil, now it is in the stage of capturing the whole country to have the complete freedom to influence, and escalate terrorism with ease.
CID’s special branch has disclosed that the Taliban is now in the process of punching the financial and shipping axis of Karachi, the financial business center of Pakistan. The special branch has placed its report to the provincial Sindh government as well as the police chief recently. From the past we know that Taliban assaulted Islamabad and Rawalpindi before, and now has set its foot firmly in different hideouts in Karachi.
The terrorist group is now busy in establishing themselves not in pockets of hilly tribal areas of Pakistan, but in the entire country for the obvious reason to have complete freedom of planning, strategize, and attack on others who oppose them. The report mentioned of ample quantity of arms and ammunition Taliban has stock piles in different pockets of cities to plan the 26/11 like strike for capturing urban areas.
Sectarian violence is not new in the city of Karachi. People of this city have experienced violence in the past, which is different than the anticipating violence and death due to the whims of terrorists. This has created natural fear and scare in the city. The hidden agenda of Taliban is now in the front of everybody that is to imprison Pakistan just like Afghanistan in the past.
Pakistan army’s efforts to curtail Taliban influence in the tribal areas of Pakistan have become total failure; as a result Taliban has advanced to the cities without any resistance from government security machineries. This challenge to the president and the government is now matter of grave concern. The truce agreement in Swat valley that has recently been granted by the government, is an indication that the government is not in a position to deal with Taliban for reasons best known to them. The Daily Times news paper has provided detail of taliban’s hiding places like Sohrab Goth, Quaidabad, Manghopir, Orangi, and low income areas of slums, collected from police.
Hasan Mahmood, the deputy chief of Tehrik-e-Taliban is somewhere in Karachi, the news paper has also mentioned.
