Ramalinga Raju may get life imprisonment On one

Ramalinga Raju, the past chairman and promoter of the company.
Raju’s fate will be hanging in the air till the time court proceedings are over and a verdict is pronounced. He has been charge sheeted under various sections of Indian Penal Code including the section 467 that carries a punishment of life imprisonment if found guilty. The section 467 is connected with forgery of valuable security and will.
His confession through a letter to the SEBI (Security Exchange Board of India) led the police arrest him along with other higher officials of Satyam around three months back. Since then many a changes have been made in the company, and investigations were carried out against these officials along with Raju.
Apart from Raju, other names of accused mentioned in the charge sheet are Valdamani Srinivas (Ex. CFO), Rama Raju (Ex. MD), S. Gopalkrishnan and Talluri Srinivas of Price Waterhouse, G. Ramakrishna (Ex. Vice President-Finance), D. Venkatapathi Raju and Srisailam (Ex. Finance department officers). The ninth person in the charge sheet is of SRSR Advisory Service director Suryanarayana Raju, another brother of Raju.
The 76 pages charge sheet is attached with 1532 original documents, 65000 pages of other documents, and 432 statements of witnesses.
Except Suryanarayana Raju, all other accused are in police custody, and lodged in Chanchalguda Prison in Hederabad.
