can be drawn as a conclusion. Whether the stake is high or low is immaterial in assessing those people’s mind as in both cases they kill people. We can certainly deliberate about the murderers in both cases, but, when the amount is not substantial, we are puzzled beyond apprehension.
Chandrakant Talwar and Syron Rodrigues were richer by rupees 50,000 after killing four innocent women. Another woman, the girl friend of Syron was used to lure those women to accept lift in their car. Once inside the car, the duo accomplished their purpose, and robbed dead women. The account of money has been by the police that they got from four dead women is rupees 42,000 from selling victims’ jewellery and another 9,320 cash from the handbag of one woman. Altogether, they got 51,320, which calculates out to be roughly less than rupees 13,000 per woman on average. In this case, the cost of one woman is that paltry rupees 13,000.
The 35 years old, Talwar suffocated all the women through strangulation and his associate the 20 years old Rodrigues arranged petrol to burn the bodies, informed the police. The police have arrested both the persons and Syron’s
girlfriend. Goa, where the killings were committed, is a popular tourist destination for the foreigners. Both the men came from Mumbai to Goa and committed this heinous crime, informed police. The police also said they killed a woman in Mumbai by applying the same method.
