There used to be a time in America the morality and character was held as a litmus test for not just who one’s daughter would marry, but who should be elected to office, and even who should vote. But, today leaders such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, the governor of California, and the third of consecutive presidential Administrations who have shown a huge streak of contempt for moral integrity. The ever increasing lost of a moral compass has led to schools, as well as municipalities, abolishing any reference to a Supreme Being or god and a rise in deviancy and the destruction of generations of established moral and family values. There has been a concerted effort and agenda to normalize alternative lifestyles throughout the government schools and society with special recognition and extension of governmental privileges for homosexuality, bisexuality, and transexuality, while offering absolutely nothing to protect or respect the rights of those who may not share in the radical and alternative beliefs of lifestyles. Coupled with the fact that the leaders on the United States government have contorted the shape of right and wrong in their dealings with other nations by invading and punishing countries not due to any true moralistic basis, but largely on the behest of the United Nations drive to create a one world government. Today, as a nation, the US is more hated, mistrusted then respected and trusted by members of the world, even some countries who use to be friends for years.
George Washington in his first inaugural address in 1789 he stated
, “I dwell on this prospect with every satisfaction which an ardent love for my country can inspire, since there is no truth more thoroughly established than that there exists in the economy and course of nature an indissoluble union between virtue and happiness; between duty and advantage; between the genuine maxims of an honest and magnanimous policy and the solid rewards of public prosperity and felicity; since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained; and since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty and the destiny of the republican model of government are justly considered, perhaps, as deeply, as finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people. ” clearly stated his recognition of a Supreme Being and the value of virtue as well as the perils of the absence of righteousness. America, led by the US government, has lost it’s moral compass evidenced by 14 year old girls having babies out of wedlock, the proliferation of sexual activity amongst our nations young, the allowing of 40 + illegal immigrants to access legitimate privileges, and the discourteous and anti-social behavior that is permeating our society as a whole. American’s have lost the notion of moral absoluteness - that there children should always respect and honor their parents; that the union between man and woman is superior and the social nucleus; and high moral and ethical constitution is the key to a well-functioning society. America’s vacantness of right and wrong must retain if it is be the special and respected nation that generations before inherited.
