The
nation is in turmoil again, students from
premier universities are
making noise and staging different kinds of protests
to seek for truth.The clergies are using their pulpits to entice the public to
do communal actions against corruption in the gov''''t and even the school
children are making their voice heard by the concerned officials and asking for
changes because they are worried about their future.The only remaining silent
and still defending their so called commander in chief is the military institution,
but once the military changes their mind and give in to the clamor of the public,
maybe in no time another people power will happen and it will be the end of
PGMA''''s
administration.
We don’t deny that the Philippine economy is slowly gaining strength but
the political analyst as well the economist and the businessmen themselves cant
solely credit it to the present administration but to the
remittances of all
Filipino Overseas Worker who braces all the sufferings of being away from their
families to work abroad because there''''s no available job here in our
country.
They were even called the New
Heroes because their remittances are the ones
that fill up our dollar reserves but ask any
OFW what their gov''''t has done for
them after their contract is over,nothing,they just become a forgotten heroes.
And where do their remittances goes? they just enrich the
pockets of many officials concerned. They ride on luxury cars while ofw''''s
commute on tricycle and jeepneys.
So if the people are making noise now, no one to blame but the corrupt leaders.
If only they are true to their pledge when they were sworn in to office to
serve the interest of the nation and its citizens to the best of their
abilities and not their self vested interests then maybe, who knows this nation
can be great again as what our forefathers have dreamed of when they died
fighting for the independence of our country.
