Website Summary by: lalalaliii

So who's your candidate? This Myspace.com special project will help you get more information and decide.
Myspace.com
created this very nicely-designed web page (all in Flash!) in cooperation with the commission of presidential debates. It is aimed at encouraging political involvement and awareness and motivate Americans to vote.
The first thing the site offers is quizzes to test your feelings about the crucial issues on these elections: Same-sex marriage, Taxes, Social Security, Economy, Gun Policy, Energy, Education, Immigration, Environment, Homeland Security, Iraq, Free Trade, Abortion and Health Care. The user is asked how strongly he or she feels about each issue, then given the views of each candidate (without indicating which is whose) and also an option of answering "neither" or "I haven't decided yet". After each answer, you can see which candidate supports the same view, and also how many Americans feel the same.
The site also offers relevant videos from the presidential debates in which each candidate elucidates his or her view.
As you continue answering questions, you can see the summary of your answers so far: on how many issues you agree with each candidate.
The site also gives you access to the full debates and to more stats referring to each state, gender and age group.
While the debates were still going on, users also had an opportunity to submit their questions.
As this site is really a MySpace page it has interesting "friends" such as John McCain, Obama and Sarah Palin (who goes simply by "Sarah")
The forum section seems to be abused by frustrated McCain supporters who start discussions such as "Are any Christians voting Obama" or "Obama is a negroid Muslim"... Seems like a page this sensitive should get a bit more supervision.
Users are also invited to continue the discussion within themselves by starting discussion groups, and of course are encouraged to Register to Vote!
MySpace’s attempt to educate you might be a little too pedagogical; however it is a lot of fun and may actually help you make up your mind (if you really haven't yet. Haven't you??), rationalize your choices and get into this election atmosphere!
