Buner, a far-flung district of North western Pakistan where the polling of a by-election for the provincial seat was in progress when a suicide bomber struck his explosive-laden car with the building, where the polling station was established, the attack claimed thirty-seven and injured some eighty-eight people.
It is a string of the chain of attacks in Swat valley where the Pakistan army has been undertaking operation against Al-Qaeda and Taliban insurgents.
