I suppose my friend the Magistrate must have a point of view on my career and life but I chose to ignore it in as much as
it was solved years ago by myself and a colleague taking on board the prejudice against women and using our great drama degree in English to further the notion of success in the field of women's careers in this country ... at home and abroad.
So ITN blogged this morning on the stinging issue of RCs and the ban on RCs in
England re if an RC i.e. a Roman Catholic choses to marry a Royal Person that RC must convert or the Royal Person will lose his position in the High Anglican Church of England Position of inheritance .. and an example of this prejudice at work is .. Princess Anne divorced Mark
Phillips and they had a son Peter Phillips who married a RC lady and this lady had to convert to the Protestant Church otherwise The Queen's Grandson would lose his inheritance ... Peter Phillips is 11th in line in succession to the Throne of England!
Another relevant point in this act ... thus PM Gordon Brown's attention to it ... is the chavinism that exists in the UK is according to ITN blog as a direct result of this ruling ... they is a suggestion here of a change in the rules. Interestingly enough I am RC but not a high profile one seemingly I am an ordinary Poet not a great one and have just won The Pen in England ... so are they suggesting the reason I am not soared as high as the men is twofold i.e.
a: I am RC
b: I am a woman
and therefore the changes of myself soaring high in say, best selling or great national honours would be simply out of the question as the rules stand. If so, then I demand a change in the rule book. besides I dont know any Royal Persons privately only professionally! Nice work!
