Pakistan has 60
nukes and continuing……
India has the greatest threat from the irresponsible Pakistan than any body else. India is well ahead in all fields in terms of development and progress compare to Pakistan, and it will surge ahead despite Pakistan’s wrong notions.
The recent
report of the CRS (Congressional Research Service, USA) has disclosed the fact that Pakistan is continuously increasing its nuclear war heads. The present stock pile is given at 60, and all these are particularly targeted to India. This information is disclosed in the report ‘Pakistan’s Nuclear Weapons: Proliferation and Security issues’.
The legitimate worry of the extremists get access to the Pakistan nuclear weapon has made the CRS over concern about Pakistan’s extending activities of nuclear
program. The US plan of further aid to Pakistan may indirectly help the nuclear program of Pakistan is the apprehension of the experts of the report.
Admiral Mike Mullen, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff had earlier indicted with evidence that Pakistan is expanding its nuclear arsenal in a congressional hearing. Pakistan’s inferior conventional forces compare to India’s is the reason for Pakistan inclining more to nuclear weapons, CRS opined.
Pakistan’s proliferation record is murky at any standard, and the country has obtained its nuclear technology from different sources in Europe and China. China has helped Pakistan in the past in this respect and is forcing the country to sign a bilateral nuclear deal similar to that of Indo-US nuclear deal. China is actively helping Pakistan in the
expansion of Khushab Plutonium production reactor. It is natural to think that with the expansion of reactors, the production of nuclear weapons would increase, the report mentioned. On yearly basis Pakistan is producing 100 kg of highly enriched Uranium to be used for producing nuclear weapons, known from the report.
Pakistan’s contention that it will not indulge in an arms race with India cannot be trusted.
The US congress is deliberating the fate of a bill for giving military aid to Pakistan, and all these points in respect of nuclear program of Pakistan are taking center stage of the debate.
India has rightly expressed its concern over Pakistan’s expansion program as well as the aid money that could be diverted in this program.
