Another 9/11 ceremonial day has passed. All the patriotic Americans have stood up for those lost on that fateful day. Now
the flagss are back in cases and the bands put their instruments away. Copies of speeches are tucked in a file to be used again.
It is ironic how we dedicate but a few days to those sacrificing their lives for this
country. It is the same in other countries too. Whatever the nation there are certain days to honor heroes living and dead.
Did our servicemen and women take days off during battle? Most assuredly they did not! So why then do we as supposedly grateful citizens of this great country do it to them? Freedom comes at a very high price for any nation. Lives and limbs are lost to pay for it. It is about time we remember this every day.
