So its back from the grocery store and online to discover that
President Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize to gasps
from whoever gasps when America wins something or other. I never know whether one should applaud one of the richest
countries in the world for winning or boo them off the stage as it seems unfair to the less well off countries. However I bow to the supremacy of the Judges at the Nobel Committee stage as I too have had to make rough and ready decisions on choosing the winner on Exam Boards across the world!
So its well done! America and Congratulations! to Barack Obama who has recently been elected as America's first black man and
President of America .. only last week it was commiserations to Obama as his hometown of Chicago failed to make the grade for another competition which Brazil win!
I wonder if I will ever win anything that amounts to such prestige or perhaps thats only for the chosen few .. hard work! Will keep you posted!
