Its very hurting to people when a defeated president refuse to vacate office like in the alleged case of Ivory Coast. There are allegations that the same had occur in Kenya and Zimbabwe. The big complication is that the losers use every loophole to doctor situation in his or her favor and cause confusion of the legitimate winner. The world get confuse on who truly the winner is because supporters of legitimate winners and losers who stole election keep claiming they are in the right.
I believe solution will come on improving election processes and in particular the constitutions should put in black and white ways of handling every possible stalemate.
In the case of ivory coast for now I would call upon all nations to recognize ambassoders appointed by Allassana Quattara who is the internationally recognized winner. Already France and UN have done so.
