All political parties can gear for assembly polls in 2011 from now onwards. The main points that can be highlighted can be as follows and this can be done nook and corner upto village level and arranging proper supervision that the messages reached the end level.
1.Tell the people that if any party gives the money, take the money. Even if they take promise on God, promise it. God will not listen for wrong doing by money giver. But vote for good candidate with clean records and who helps the masses. Our candidate is a clean and educated and rich one and hence he will not steal the money. Holding post is prestigious for him as status and help people. If money is given by opposition party, then it is the money earned from corruption. This money will come for only few days for common man. But money giving party will squeeze 1000 times of money given if comes to rule. Due to this , price increased for common man and he will suffer for 5 years.
2. Price prevailed in the previous regime and present price for essential commodities thus telling the people that they will suffer if they allow the party to rule the state. Wide publicity by way of road shows and street corner meeting will help for spreading the message. Actors can be used to
stage these things before public especially of slum area etc. so that it can attract good viewership.
3.Corruption prevailing can be highlighted before the public. If present rules compare the previous regime for corruption, then ask people to question them why they should be voted if corruption
4.Common man needs maily shelter, clothes, employment. Highlights in this respect can be informed to public.
5. Since TV now reaches nook and corner of Tamil nadu, big budgets should be allocated for this
and one expert group should be entrusted to arrange for a good presentation before public.
6.Water, pollution, Illegal sand quarying, law and order, electricity problem etc. also need to be highlighted by ruling and opposition parties.
7. Better to opt for rich candidate who got the interest in public serving. He will not rob money and put ruling party in problem as he is already rich and help the poor. This is the method ,old congress in 1950s followed till anti-Hindi agitation removed congress regime.
8.Normally candidates should be educated and knows about ins and outs of economics and law. Some Candidates of parties need not be educated much but they should have character like Kamaraj. Youngsters should be chosen just like Rahul or Rajiv Gandhi who can tour intensively and contact public. Candidates who are contacting public periodically may be preferred than election time contact candidates.
9. Manifesto of the party should concentrate on the following:
a) Electricity supply
b)Control of essential commodidates.
c)Law and order problem
d)pollution -noise and water
e) Sand quarrying
f)Corruption free governance. All directives and sanctions will be in writing i.e. signed by ministers with recommendations of bureacrats so that guilty if any can be easily traced and punished. If minister is overruling the officers' noting without any reason and for some personal
benefits, he will be asked to resign and justice will take its own course of action without interferance from govt. For party, individual is less than party.
g) Time bound public services like registrar office, RTO office, ration office etc.
h) Infra structure - roads and bridges.
i) PDS- stronger measures to see that commodities reaches with quantity and quality to public and distribution date announced one week in advance. The genuine difficulties of PDS outlets are to be
removed and guilty PDS outlets are to be punished by removing the license immediately.
j) Party will see that all welfare measures of Govt whether central or state reaches needy persons. It will try to ensure that atleast 0.90 ps reaches the needy persons against Govt Rs.1 help.
10. Since party funding can be made by many ways like state funding etc, corruption should not
be relied on for this. Also stock market dances to the tune of govt policies and hence it will not be any difficulty for ruling and opposition parties using that route.
I think I outlined the main points for all political parties.
