Wikileaks, the whistle blower website may probably being blame for the chaos in this last several months. The website displays thousands of US Embassy leak document around the world without disclosed. The whistle blower website are owned by Julian Assange, a hacker also journalist from Australia origin. He uncovered about collution, corruption and nepotism document leak from US embassy in Tunisia. As result, demonstration which ended with clash happened at this north African country. But the clash didn’t last long after the protesters were backed by the military. It’s more like a coup d’tat. The president, Ben Ali escaped to Saudi Arabia through air. His airplane landing clearance has been refused by so many countries before Saudi Arabia allow his landing clearance.
A weeks after it, Egypt was severed the same condition. Hundreds of protesters were downed to the street and call for president, Mohamad Hosni Mubarak to step down from presidential after 32 years ruling the country. Days by day, large of protester from the several city in Egypt rendezvous with the earlier protesters to yell their similar aspiration at Tahrir Square, Cairo. When their aspirations didn’t have any good respond, the chaos began. The clash between police officers and protesters broke. Several protesters were detained. Many from both side wounded. But the peace demonstration continued with no ended sign. By then, the Egyptian military vehicles such as tanks were moving into the town and try persuaded the protesters ending their actions. The first attempt was ended with no result. The protesters are rapidly increasing.
Suddenly, the president dismissed the cabinet and shut down the Aljazeera national television office. He selected his chief intelligent bureau to be the vice president, Omar Suleiman. He was assassination attempt but missed. Two of his personal bodyguard killed. But his record is also not too good after some source connecting him to CIA. His attempt on assassinating perhaps based on the record.
Hosni Mubarak refused to step down as the protesters demand until the next presidential election this year. He is also trying to persuade opposition for cooling down the situation. He promised that opposition will have the key role on his next government. But the opposition is persistent on democracy and reformation on Egypt. This meaning that he had no choice than stepping down. His refusal is causing the protesters angry. The protesters were given ultimatum until this Friday for him to step down. He said, he will promise not going to fight in the next presidential election. They will march to presidential palace at the certain times. The protesters ultimatum is considered as threat. Mubarak called for military units dispatched to the certain spots in order to control the protesters. Lines of tanks were moving into the city. The military helicopters were flying low at the city with probably full of anti-riot soldiers onboard. Two presidentials F-16 were sent to fly low around the city. Unknown if the jet was mounted with weapons or not. Protesters are now concentrating at Tahrir Square. The demonstration of reformation became wider.
Suddenly, Israel made statement on the media that they feared on what happen next after Mubarak step down. Israel concerned on the peace threaty that were sign between them after six days war will be jeorpardized by the next leader. They admit scared that probably the leader was coming from militia. Beside of that, they also concerned on the mediation peace talk between Israel and Palestinian might in danger. Hosni and his presidential team were involved on the mediation.
Then, Israel moved out to seek international support in assisting Egyptian problems. However, America has agreed and pushed for Mubarak to step down as the people demand. But, some document published by the wikileaks has showed that American silently support opposition to dismissed Hosni at about 2004. The document leak come from US embassy in Egypt. Another document leak showed that Israeli was actually pointed Omar, the Egypt chief intelligence to replace Mubarak in the future.
This both different perceptions caused several incidents such as assassin attempt on the new Egyptian Vice president and the blow up oil pipeline flow from Egypt to Israel in order to cut down supply. Hosni than try another way to frightened and dismissed the protesters at Tahrir Square by launching pro government protesters into the square. The clash between both parties took place about two days before the ultimatum dateline. Two digits number of protesters from both side were killed and not to mention thousands wounded. Most of the pro government protesters were riding horses and camels during the action.
At the last news release by wikileaks said that Mubarak and his son have resigned from the rulling party. But Mubarak said that he will rule as presidential for moments.
From Yemen, there are also protesters went down to the street calling for their president, Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down as the leader of the country. There are 2 parties involved in contrary ie: pro and contra government rule protesting on the street. The security has been dispatched to concentrate protesting area.
Libya & Aljazair is issued to be the next protesters movement. But so far Oman people showed their moved to protest their government.
