Confuse statements made by Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi

Article Abstract by: NelsonMandela

Original Author: N. Mandela
During the elections period, I remembered Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said clearly to us Malaysians that if we do not
vote for the MCA or MIC candidates for parliamentary seats, there will definitely be no voices in the parliament for our fellow Chinese and Indian community.
I heard this and I responded by saying to myself. Aren''t the country''s vision is to see Malaysians Malaysianised(no race and religion barriers). Many plans they have conducted towards this vision, for example introducing Sekolah Wawasan where a Chinese school, an Indian school & a national school are build in a same compound.
BUT I truly do not understand why did our Prime Minister says that our fellow Chinese & Indian communities will not have their voice in the Parliament if there are no MCA & MIC candidates in the Parliament. Does he means that UMNO will not fight for Chinese and Indians? Ridiculous. Aren''t we living in the same country and are neighbours for more than 50 years. Aren''t we Malaysians too? I was sadden by his statement.
Strangely, after the elections, our Prime Minister during the press conference said something totally contradictory to what he said before. "Abdullah emphasised that the Barisan government is for all Malaysians and would serve the interest of minority communities which do not have representation in the Cabinet." taken from The Star newspaper. Abdullah continued saying that," We are the government of Barisan Nasional. We speak for each other. We don''t say ''I''m there, I only speak for the Malays, I don''t speak for anyone else".
So which are lies? Those statements made by Abdullah before the elections, are the threatenings just to win the elections? Besides, during the elections the Barisan nasional used the media to criticise the opposition, saying that what they say is mere words and are nice to the ear but it;s not true but through what I see is that the opposition is true in their accusations of those highly paid ministers in the Cabinet and UMNO are deadly corrupted as well as arrogant. So who is right who is wrong? Which part is the truth and which part are lies? You make the judgement.
Humbly composed by,
N. Mandela
