What tragic things are happening in the subcontinent. A lot of outstanding leaders are being killed under
mysterious circumstances. It all started with the murderous assult on Sheikh Mujibur Rehman in Bangladesh in the early seventies followed by a few more of the leaders in the then millatery ruled state. Then in india Sanjay Gandhi was mysterously removed from the scene in a coppter crash ; and mind you Sanjay that time was the only leader who had gained international focus for his positive role during the Emergency. Then Indira Gandhi was bulleted by her own bodyguards then later folled by Rajiv Gandhi who was bombed. After this we have a horrible scenario in Pakistan as Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was hanged like an ordinary criminal followed by general Ziaul Haq who died in a plane crash. Then to cap it all Benazir''s death was horrendous to imajine the least. Finally Nepal''s King Birendra and family was wiped out of the scene. Now to imagine what trajedy of trajidies are taking shape with the leaders of the subcontinent is simply mindboggling. It looks as if some powerful forces are at work setting up the task of eleminating all popular leaders in the SAARC Nations who were or had taken popular measures to placate the public in each of their respective countries. It also appeares as if this forces are it working to see that no progress should take place in the subcontinent. The question is who can be that powerful force to act as a cog in the wheel stopping this nations from developing any further since there new found status as independent contries. And in most of these assissinations that took place if one carries out a broad based didactic analyses it would seem that all these beholden leaders were innocent as they were following the dictates of there own conscience to do good to the public of their contries. Even if some of them betrayed signs of being power hungry these are hardly any venegeful motive for the forces to kill the leaders. The latest assasination was to say the least was grotesque- that of Benazir Bhutto. Even though she was basically Instrumental in bringing her party to the fore to challenge other parties she was innocent. She thought of challenging the authorities by claming that she knew who the people were behind the bomb blast that took placed just as she arrived in Pakistan from her exile in London. Maybe this was the reason why she was eleminated.
