1% fire tax on property tax
Fire tax on buildings was issued by the state govt. of andhra pradesh. This 1% tax will be add-on, on property tax. The high court has recommended the tax. No. 154 tax was issued by the municipal and the urban development dept. The govt. will put into operation in 6 months. Emergency Services will be improved with the amount collected. The dept. will issue and serve notices to inhabitants of buildings to obey and fulfill the fire safety requirements. Inspections will be conducted and NOC will be issued if the requirements are met within a stipulated time. Penalty will be issued if adjustments are made. Any violation of fire service act will be an offence, special courts to prosecute violators will be set.
