The day was a fresh one with a slight breeze from the coast and the air was cold but not chilly so I set off in the
afternoon to go to Wetherspoons Bar in Southampton as I had noticed the green and white balloons tied to the
chairs on the street cafe area outside Wetherspoons Bar in Southampton.
When I finally arrived as I had a stopever twice en route to Wetherspoons Bar I was delighted to see the
Fancy Dress costume worn by the waiters and waitresses which consisted of green and white Tophats
with a splash of colour on the outfits setting the tone for the celebration of St Patrick;s Day in
Southampton England.
So remembering good times, better times in the past I ordered my Caesar Salad with wine but alas! they
had run out of that speciality so I ordered another Caesar salad with chicken and white wine and that was
dutifully served to my table which was listed by me when paying for the order at the Bar.
The Bar was busy, brisk, and crowded, and tt was without too much distress I managed to grab a table
and get to take up my seat to wait for my meal without difficulty.
I was surrounded by young people who were engaged in an energetic conversation with no beginning,
middle or end as when I arrived they were in full flow, when I was dining, they continued to chat, and
when I had finished my meall I left them in full flow without even a pause in the conversation and
it was like listening to one of my favourite radio shows, just a minute, but since I was a stone's throw
away I didnt participate in the game but merely sat aside as an onlooker and something of a fan!
Great days remembered at Wetherspooss Bar here in the Southern city of Southampton and also in
London! Hard work pays UP!
